This was my first gig with Saxophonist Goio Lima and percussionist Anselmo Netto, These incredible musicians are steeped in the history of Brazilian Music so I saw this as a teriffic opportunity to convey my love for Latin music with authentic players of the genre. We were playing the music of Brazilian composer João Donato. 

 

The whole gig was filmed by vocalist Sonia Edgy who also guested on a couple of tunes, who I will be working with this weekend at the Jazz Café POSK on August 30th.
